Business Verification Terms

Last updated October 1, 2026

What this covers

These terms apply when your business registers with Xolo Club to send text messages to its members. They are about your business’s information — the details you give us so that mobile carriers can identify who is sending. Our Messaging Terms cover something different: the messages your members receive.

Why registration is required

United States mobile carriers do not deliver business text messages from an unidentified sender. Before a number can send, the business behind it has to be registered and reviewed.Xolo Club handles that registration for you, but the business being registered is yours, so the details have to be yours too.

What we collect

Your legal business name and any trading name, your registered address, your website, your business type, your tax registration number and the authority that issued it, and the name, email address and phone number of a contact at your business. We ask for a tax registration number because registrations that include one are approved more often; we never ask for a personal Social Security number, and you should never give us one.

Who we share it with

We share these details with Twilio, the messaging provider we use, and Twilio passes them to the mobile carriers and the vetting services the carriers rely on. That chain is what the registration is. We do not share your business details with anyone else for any other purpose — we do not sell them, we do not use them for our own marketing, and we do not pass them to other customers of Xolo Club.

What happens to it afterwards

Twilio and the carriers keep a record of the registration for as long as your number is able to send, and for a period afterwards, because they are required to show who authorised the messages on their networks. Their handling of your details is governed by their own terms, not ours. We keep your details while your business uses Xolo Club, and for a reasonable period after you leave so that we can answer questions about a past registration.

Keeping it safe

Your details are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people at Xolo Club who need it to run or support your registration. We do not store card details at all; payments are handled by our payment provider.

We will not tell you that this is risk-free, because no system is. If we become aware of a breach affecting your business details, we will tell you promptly, explain what was involved, and tell you what we are doing about it — rather than leaving you to find out.

Accuracy is your responsibility

You confirm that the details you give us are accurate and that you are authorised to provide them on behalf of your business. Registrations are reviewed against public records, so inaccurate details are usually rejected rather than approved — but a registration obtained with details that were not yours to give can result in the number being suspended by the carriers. Tell us if anything changes, so we can keep the registration current.

Your choices

Registering is optional. If you would rather not share these details, you can use Xolo Club without SMS — the kiosk, memberships, rewards and coupons all work without it. You can ask us to correct your details at any time, and you can ask us to withdraw a registration, which releases the number and ends the ability to send texts. We cannot withdraw the record Twilio and the carriers keep of a registration that has already been reviewed.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we record which version you agreed to, so that an agreement always refers to the wording that was actually on screen. The current version is bv-v1. If a change materially affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will ask you to agree again rather than treating your earlier agreement as covering it.
